Owen Van Syckle, Registered Rep


Owen works with affluent individuals, families, and business owners on business, estate, charitable planning and tax objectives*. He provides his clients with state-of-the-art planning strategies and customized case analyses designed to enable clients to meet their goals, challenges, opportunities, and of course, dreams.

After achieving a thorough understanding of a client’s particular issues, Owen and his support with national resources begin to:


• Examine legal documents*.

• Present and project client’s current situation.

• Quantify planning alternatives.

• Provide clarity to financial situations.

• Suggest alternative strategies that may get the client closer to their goals.

• Research and assess current legal issues.

• Provide suggestions and solutions as needed.

• Review business succession, exit planning, and executive benefits.

The one-on-one case design process is tailored to the unique requirements of each client, achieving a better understanding of the complex needs and goals of each individual.

Owen Van Syckle recently has been named a member of the 2016 Executive Council of New York Life Insurance Company.  Members of the Executive Council are among the most successful of New York Life’s elite sales force of 12,000 licensed agents.

Owen Van Syckle is a native of Hampton Roads and grew up in Ocean View, Norfolk.  Five years ago he moved his family Hickory, Chesapeake, "And we love it".

Owen's daughter, Haley is a Senior at Hickory High School and his 11 year old son, Garth attends Hickory Middle. He has been happily married to Lesia his "SAINT" wife for 20 years in March 2016.

Prior to New York Life, Owen helped found a regional textile company where he worked as a General Manager and International Director of Sales and Marketing and lead the firm from the start-up stage to a $52 million. Owen started the Van Syckle Group in 2001, which now licenses their Sales Acceleration Academy to other organizations and consultants in the US.
